Cultural Center celebrates 35 years of excellence

The event to mark the 35th anniversary of Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps (GlavUpDK’s) Cultural Center brought together its partners, friends and employees.

The event was opened by Robert Markaryan, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia, who read out congratulations to the staff of the Cultural Center from Vyacheslav Fatin, Head of GlavUpDK. “Over the past decades, the Cultural Center has played a significant role in strengthening good neighborly relations between countries. This building is loved by the diplomatic community and traditionally serves as a venue for holding receptions, festivals and official meetings. And that is not all! It also hosts Moscow big cultural, business and networking events. Great and inspired work of the Cultural Center team is the secret behind such brilliant success. I would like to thank the director of the Center, Olga Moiseeva, and the advisor to the director, Valeria Pavlovskaya, who contributed to the establishment of the Cultural Center. Your commitment and talent have ensured the highest standards for our work!” the text says.

Robert Markaryan also congratulated his colleagues on behalf of the Trade Union Committee and the GlavUpDK team: “The Cultural Center is our home, where we can happily communicate and meet. This hospitality and cordiality is worth a lot, and we really appreciate it. Behind the ceremonial occasions is the hard, intense work of the Center team, which is putting much effort to create an atmosphere that we are proud of!

Denis Matsuev, President of the New Names Charitable Foundation, People's Artist of Russia, outstanding Russian pianist, congratulated the guests with a video, thanking the Cultural Center for the unique intelligent, creative, friendly atmosphere, which helps develop talents, gives strength, inspiration and fresh ideas.

The event was also attended by long-time partners of the Cultural Center, Galina Gorokhova, three-time Soviet Olympic champion and 9-time world champion in foil fencing, President of the Russian Union of Athletes, and Lyudmila Titova, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, Olympic champion and world champion in speed skating. Visitors discussed the fruitful cooperation with many years of friendship with the staff of the Cultural Center and the idea of holding the Winter and Summer Diplomatic Games.

Konstantin Kolpakov, Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the MFA of Russia, also congratulated the team and noted that the Cultural Center today has become a center of meaning, culture, attraction and great atmosphere.

To mark the anniversary, the Cultural Center has prepared a special program, including a performance by a quintet of folk instruments. foundationers of the New Names Charitable Foundation, laureate of international competitions Lev Pashin, singer-songwriter Alexei Zykov and other talented musicians.

The highlight of the cultural program was the performance by the Phonograph orchestra conducted by People's Artist of Russia Sergei Zhilin. Introducing the Rachmaninoff. The Versatility of Genius program, Sergei Zhilin said that it was an honor to collaborate with the Cultural Center for three decades, and thanked Valeria Pavlovskaya, who founded and continues to develop the Center, for her commitment.
