The reception was officially opened by Frank Mushyo Kamanzi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Rwanda in the Russian Federation.

He highlighted that interaction between the two states covers a wide range of areas, which extends to the entire civilian population of Rwanda.

Vsevolod Tkachenko, Director of the Department of Africa of the MFA of Russia, delivered a welcoming speech. “There is a regular political dialogue between our countries, based on harmonious approaches to most of the challenges of our time. We are confident that joint efforts will contribute to the establishment of a more polycentric system of international relations and sustainable economic and social development of the African continent,” emphasized Vsevolod Tkachenko.

The event with a welcoming atmosphere showed the uniqueness of Rwandan culture. The Cultural Center hosted a concert to reveal the distinctive character of this African country.
