On December 7, the GlavUpDK Cultural Center hosted a presentation on the economic, investment and tourism potential of Sakha (Yakutia) supported by S. Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia, and A. Nikolaev, Head of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
In his opening speech, Sergey Lavrov emphasized the special contribution Sakha (Yakutia) had made to the development of the country's economy, its unique and authentic history and culture. The minister highly appreciated the efforts made by the leaders of Yakutia to develop international and foreign economic ties and attract investment to the Republic, and also noted that Yakutia had a significant industrial potential.
Head of the Sakha Republic A. Nikolaev spoke about modernization of the regional economy, ongoing business projects and vast tourism opportunities, developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The event brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, business groups, Russian and foreign media. The guests were offered exhibitions and information materials about the industrial potential of the Republic, its natural and tourist attractions.
The presentation of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) has gained traction among the guests and contributed to the establishment of direct contacts between the region and friendly nations.
