May 18, GlavUpDK’s Cultural Center hosted a solemn event dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The remarkable event brought together members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry and GlavUpDK, and various public and patriotic associations.
"This holiday unites all generations and fills us with pride for the valor and indestructible courage of our fathers and grandfathers who defeated fascism and preserved the independence of our motherland," stressed V.N. Fatin, Acting Head of the Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps under the MFA of Russia, addressing the event participants.
The celebration culminated in an impressive performance by the famous Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after Alexander Alexandrov.
The festival participants visited the exhibition of Great Patriotic War weapons and artifacts found by search parties, set up in the Cultural Center’s foyer. The event also included a fascinating Battle of Moscow quest and a history quiz in the Rubezh Pobedy (Victory Frontier) free mobile app. The high spot of the evening was an exciting VR attraction taking you back in time to May 1945 to hoist the Victory Banner over the defeated Reichstag.
