The Cultural Center has hosted a diplomatic reception of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba on the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces, which is celebrated in the country on December 2 to commemorate the landing of the Granma which brought Cuban revolutionaries led by Fidel Castro in 1956.

On December 7, the GlavUpDK Cultural Center hosted a presentation on the economic, investment and tourism potential of Sakha (Yakutia) supported by S. Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia, and A. Nikolaev, Head of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).

August 24 marks 101 years since GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia was founded. On that day, in 1921, Council of Labor and Defense issued an order “On the Establishment of the Central Bureau for the Service of Foreigners under the People's Commissariat” abbreviated Burobin (predecessor of GlavUpDK).

An official reception to honor the 211th anniversary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela’s Independence was held in the GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia Cultural Center.

An illustrated gift book called Recipes of Hospitality was presented in the Reception House of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The book’s creation was initiated and supported by the Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps (GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia), together with the Russian Gastronomy Map project. 

On June 2, the Cultural Center of GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia hosted a presentation on the economic, investment and tourism potential of the Vologda Region.
