The Cultural Center hosted a gala evening on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the Djibouti Independence Day.
The ceremony was officially opened by Mohamed Ali Kamil, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Djibouti in the Russian Federation. “The most important economic routes of the East African countries pass through the territory of the Republic of Djibouti, which makes it possible to overcome crises and conflicts in the region. Russia is actively cooperating with Djibouti to ensure maritime security and combat terrorism and piracy. I believe that mutually beneficial cooperation between the states will continue to develop, and friendship will grow stronger,” he said.
Georgy Todua, Deputy Director of the Department of Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, emphasized that the Republic of Djibouti contributes to maintaining security in Africa. “Our diplomatic relations are developing very successfully: the political dialogue is ongoing, the economic cooperation is expanding, the number of educational and humanitarian contracts is growing,” he added.
At the end of the solemn part of the evening, the guests took part in the cultural entertainment program presented by talented instructors from the Idanko and 32 Fouettes ballet schools.
The most beautiful pieces of arts and crafts of the Republic of Djibouti were on display at the foyer of the Cultural Center.
