The Cultural Center hosted a diplomatic reception of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Armed Forces Day, which is celebrated in the country annually on March 27.
The gala evening was opened by U Lwin, Ambassador of the Republic of Myanmar in the Russian Federation, who thanked the reception guests for their greetings and expressed hope for the mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Myanmar in the future. The guests were also addressed by Alexander Fomin, Russian Deputy Minister of Defense, and Mo Zhuo, Military Attache of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Brigadier General.
Materials covering the cultural traditions and natural attractions of Myanmar, as well as the most beautiful pieces of folk arts and crafts of this country were on display in the foyer of the Cultural Center.
The highlight of the event was a cultural program: dances and songs performed by undergraduate students of St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University.
